Exciting New Garden Show At Holdenby!

Holdenby House Holdenby Garden Show sponsored by Haddonstone: Sat 9th and Sun 10th May 2009

This summer sees the launch of a fantastic new event that is to be of interest to all those who love gardens and outdoor living. The Holdenby Garden Show sponsored by Haddonstone, will take place in the middle of May, just outside Northampton in a beautiful country house setting.

The Grade I listed gardens of Holdenby House make the perfect location for an event that everyone interested in gardens and outdoor living will be putting in their diaries. With top quality plants and shrubs, essential garden equipment and unique garden gifts all featuring in the show’s line up, the Holdenby Garden Show sponsored by Haddonstone promises to be a wonderful day out for the whole family.

For those people wanting to learn more about different aspects of gardening, the talks and demonstration programme will be of great interest. From how to create a simple, yet stunning floral arrangement, to how to maximise your own gardens potential, plus other more exotic subject matters, Holdenby will be the place to find out! There will also be plenty of opportunity to find out how to get involved in local gardening societies and green initiatives in the local area.

Haddonstone, renowned creators of fine garden and landscape ornaments, fireplaces and architectural cast stone, is the sponsor of the event. ‘We are delighted to be the title sponsors of this new garden show’ explained Simon Scott, Haddonstone’s Marketing Director. ‘Holdenby House is a wonderful backdrop to such an event, and suits our beautiful range of garden ornaments perfectly’ he said.

Haddonstone’s stunning show gardens in East Haddon will also be open to coincide with the Holdenby Garden Show. Rarely open to the public at the weekend, visitors will have the chance to discover the hidden treasures that Haddonstone is able to create. Located just two miles from Holdenby House in Church Lane, East Haddon, these show gardens will be open 12 noon – 5pm each day.

Holdenby House itself, which dates back to 1583, will also be open to the public on both days of the event, a real treat to see inside a privately owned country home and discover the hidden art and treasures inside. The admission to the house is included in the admission fee of the show and will be open from 12 noon – 5pm each day.

‘This new Garden Show will be a great day out for all the family’ explained Caroline Houghton, one of the event organisers from Stonehouse Events. ‘You will not have to be an expert gardener to enjoy the show as there will be something for everyone!’ she said.

Live music, delicious refreshments and children’s activities will all be part of the Holdenby Garden Show sponsored by Haddonstone, and is open 11am – 5pm on Saturday 9th and Sunday 10th May 2009.
